Open Language Archives Initiative. Organization, emanating from an international partnership with the objective of unifying practices and creating a network of services for the provision of linguistic resources. This organization defines a description format (metadata schema) and provides tools for the community (aggregator, statistics, quality analysis, faceted search engine). The metadata harvested by OLAC includes 201493 resources, concerning 6909 living languages and 515 dead languages (data as of September 15, 2014, according to statistics published on their site.
