TXM is a piece of textometric software, fundamentally concieved with the goal of using searches and results to explor textual corpora. The classic way to use it is to import the annotated text (including metadata, structural properties, lexial properties) and thus to work with a stabilized corpus.

TXM recently was updated to allow users to annotate texts within TXM, to correct existing annotations as well as to make new ones, thus giving rise to the possibility of investigating a corpus while enriching it at the same time.

For the ANR DEMOCRAT project, TXM “absorbed” the Analec software, conceived more for the annotation of referential expression than for using corpora. It is an extension of URS (units, relations, schemas), from the name of the annotation model common to Analec and Glozz.

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce this new extension, to show how it can be used to make referential expressions from the annotations, to build chains of reference and to use related analysis the annotations that result from it.
